Our Doctrinal Beliefs
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” - Luke 4:18-19
God The Father
There exists only one, infinitely perfect God who is the Creator of all things and expresses Himself in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
"But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God..." - Jeremiah 10:10
God The Son
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin named Mary, died for our sins, was buried in a tomb, resurrected from the dead, and ascended into Heaven, offering salvation to believers through faith, with an imminent return that shapes their lives and service.
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day..." - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
God The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit's ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ, convict sin, regenerate believers, and empower them for godly living and service, as humanity, originally created in God's image, can find salvation and spiritual life only through the Spirit's regenerative work.
"But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me." - John 15:26
The History...
Believers In Christ Ministries...a vision birthed from the mind of God for the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. With so much experience in ministry, Sr. Pastor Michael and Prophetess La Donna Tapplin received the vision of this powerful ministry from the LORD himself, further inspired by the teachings of the late Dr. Myles Munroe. It was in 2007 that the Tapplins stepped out on faith and began the ministry with only 11 members.
Over the course of two decades, the Tapplins had the privilege of observing fellow powerhouses such as Bishop T.D. Jakes and Dr. Cindy Trimm. The Tapplins grew beyond their scope of vision as the LORD began to expand their reach through avenues of entrepreneurship. This endeavor birthed out Back 2 Basics Global Outreach, a one-of-a-kind redistribution center, and The Lighthouse Services, a mental wellness company, both geared towards helping the community.
As time continued on, a need for a spiritual covering was realized and the Tapplins connected with the apostolic-prophetic scholar, Dr. Oscar Guobadia. Since joining forces with Dr. Oscar and his home ministry, The Brook Place, Believers In Christ Ministries has excelled beyond capacity, especially delivering the well-known annual ROAR Conference Las Vegas. Till this day, BICM continues to grow and develop into deeper waters through the apostolic-prophetic call.
